NOISE REGULATIONS*
Dominion must also comply with noise regulations for the proposed
compressor stations.
At a minimum, Dominion must meet the noise requirements
established by FERC, which called for a day night noise level
of 55 dba at the nearest noise receptor.
For example, the closest residence, at the highest operating level
that is at full load conditions.
If needed, Dominion may employ numerous design features, such as mufflers, silencers, and noise attenuation to assist in meeting the noise level
