FERC - Environmental Assessment (EA)


Yes, we do recognize we're
13 early in this process in terms of an EA versus an EIS. The notice
14 identified initially that we have set an EA; however, we said based
15 on the comments received during this process, the entire scoping
16 process, based on the draft resource report that we will get from
17 Dominion, based on all of the information and our evaluation of the
18 project, we may decide that an environmental impact statement is
19 needed.
20 So that decision has not officially been made; it is not
21 final yet. We have not decided that an EA is going to be prepared;
22 this is just how it works. You start out going down the road in some
23 cases of preparing an EA until you determine that there is sufficient
24 impact that an EIS is necessary. So we are still evaluating and
