Dominion proposes to modify 86 access roads through widening and grading,
construct 5 new access roads, and extend 6 existing access roads during construction of the proposed Project.
The total of 97 proposed access roads would impact 144.7 acres.
Dominion has stated that it would require 92 of the access roads during operation of the proposed Project, so permanent impacts would affect 134.7 acres.
Of the soil limitation factors affecting the construction, only two - erosion potential and presence of hydric soils - could potentially impact the construction and use of permanent access roads during operation.
Of the soils affected by the proposed permanent access road, 51.8 acres (38.5
percent) are susceptible to severe erosion and 53.2 acres (39.5 percent)
have hydric soils.
