HISTORIC PLACES - PROTECTION

STOP PIPELINES NOW - TOP 5 REASON

Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) 
requires the FERC to take into account the effects of its undertakings 
(including the issuance of certificates)
on 
- properties listed in the National Register of Historic Places, or
- propoerties eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places
(NRHP) 
and to afford the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) 
an opportunity to comment on the undertaking.
