2011 - Dominion's "Appalachian Gateway Project" :

In the event a karst feature develops beneath the proposed pipeline, 
Dominion has stated that a construction crew would fill 
in the karst feature with concrete up to or slightly below 
the level of the base of the pipeline trench. 

Dominion would then replace the bedding around the pipeline
and fill the remaining area with soil. 

Dominion then would mound soil over the trench to direct 
surface water runoff away from the filled karst feature and pipeline.
